Who We Are

116th & Partners, LLC is a student-led and financed investment fund that aims to provide real life investment experience and achieve above market returns. Founded over the summer of 2015, the fund is comprised of passionate student investors, each with a diverse background of financial experiences. Started by three co-founders, the board has now grown to 23 members. Former members now work at major banks, hedge funds, advisory firms, and other financial institutions.

We conduct and manage multiple strategies on public equities. Our members leverage an understanding of business fundamentals supported by valuation models to drive conviction in our investments. In addition to the fund performance, a strong emphasis on education and mentorship leading to members’ professional development is core to our values.

Our Story

116th & Partners, LLC was founded through our co-founders' aim to create a unique student investment group that manages a portfolio of growth and value assets and alternative investments. While our fund’s primary goal is to achieve above market returns, an emphasis on education and a career preparation provides an unparalleled experience to our members. Every member has significant responsibility and may specialize in a specific industry or sector.

Investment Philosophy

116th & Partners, LLC takes a disciplined and diversified approach in its investment strategy. The fund’s portfolio is comprised of both growth and value stocks, and at any given moment, holds 10-12 securities. This allows us to diversify out significant unsystematic risk yet also capture directional bets.

To diversify our portfolio, we invest across multiple sectors including technology, consumer cyclical, real estate, and healthcare. Relative and intrinsic valuation methods are used as a supporting rationale for every asset we invest in. Cash profits (dividends) are reinvested back into the fund.

Every week, two to three fund members are responsible for pitching a stock, which is then voted on by the board. To learn more about the voting process or our meetings, feel free to send us an inquiry in the "Contact" section.
